Sweet soy pork with rice. Another new recipe

https://www.jocooks.com/recipes/braised-...soy-sauce/

It was good, which is handy as there’s another 2 portions in the freezer
Lamb rissoles, jacket potatoes and beans.
Chilli con carne with rice
Roast pork with lots of home grown veggies.
Tis chilli tonight, is it just me or does it taste better a day after its made?
We bulk cook both chilli and bol usually there's enough for 6 to 7 dinners then they're frozen its handy to have them in the freezer.

Tonight its meat and potato pie, cauli, carrots and frozen green beans.

Does anyone else have green beans left from last season?
I certainly do Bren, along with runners. I find vaccum packing them keeps them very fresh tasting
We're having a real treat tonight, a slow roasted leg of lamb with a few heads of new season garlic. We only have a roast a few times a year as we eat very little meat and save up our centimes for good local produce from the butcher in the next village.
It is such a cold wet day, it is nice to have an excuse to put the oven on really low all afternoon!
And a fresh cherry bakewell to follow, MrPP's request.

Chilli and curry always taste better the day after, they need to overnight to mature, a bit like a good red wine needing time to breathe when you open it.
Lettuce soup made with blown/bolting lettuces and last years sprouting onions.
