It's a really versatile "use what you have in the fridge/pantry" recipe which I'm sure I'll be doing again! You just mix your protein of choice (meat, lentils, whatever) with a grain and some vegetables and seasoning - it suggests cheese as well, but I left that out of the filling and just put a bit on top.
For this one I used a pouch of Tesco Bulghur Wheat & Green Lentils, which comes ready flavoured with red & green peppers, tomato, onion, etc, so it was really quick and easy and made for very little washing up
This evening we're having corned beef pie, with roast parsnips, mushy peas and onion gravy.
We are having pull pork rolls, chips, salad, coleslaw
Slow cooked Brisket, Calabrese, peas and carrots with mash and gravy!
I luuuurve my Sunday dinners!
No cook Sunday so prob summat in the micro.
Mr E is making one of my favourites tonight, at my request - pasta with a sauce of leeks and creme fraiche, liberally sprinkled with parmesan. Basically cheese'n'onion pasta
Striploin steak, chips, onion rings peas and gravy. Followed by meringue nest with strawberries and cream, bottle of red wine for me and white for herself.
Chicken peppers onions and chorizo for me and Mrs B.
Same for No.2 son minus the peppers and onions
Last night duck breast, polenta, caramelised celeriac and cabbage.
Tonight back of the fridge soup - lentil & leeks that were cooked with smoked sausage, some roast vegetables, and pumpkin puree. Sun-dried tomato sourdough loaf.
