This evening is a light brunch of black pudding, poached egg & asparagus.

Followed by rhubarb crumble and custard
Salad with smoked salmon stuffed with crab and prawns, more prawns, home made brown soda bread made on buttermilk with a glass of white wine.
Steak pie, chips, peas and gravy.
Homemade Lasagne & salad. Not homegrown, but free. The second best sort of salad  Smile .
Invented recipe!
Red Quinoa (Hodmedods - grown in Somerset)
Chopped up an Elephant Garlic clove. a sprouting onion, some mushrooms and basil - cooked that lot in a little oil.
Stirred in some cooked Quinoa and a beaten egg, shaped them into burger-ish shapes and crisped them up in the frying pan

Really nice - will definitely make them again ............and, its my something new I've done this week as I've never cooked Red Quinoa before. Smile
My wife’s 61st birthday today so we had a Chinese takeaway and a bottle of cava
