We’re also having meatballs with pasta in a Tom and mushroom sauce.
As predicted we had chilli and rice again. There was still enough for the freezer as well.
B. Sourdough toast & jam
Apple
L. Sourdough & banana
D Y/S Falafel wrap 29p
Y/S Eat Smart bar - nuts & dried fruit with yogurt flavoured coating 22p.
Total 51p
breakfast 70g Aldi organic porridge with red currants and raspberries 14p
dinner homemade hummus and cheese sandwiches probably about 40p as all organic, cheese cut very thin but adds flavour to hummus.
tea roast veg. with added olives and haloumi cheese served with maftoul (a Palestinian pasta like large couscous) about 65p a portion.

Had some grapes and an apple out of the garden.

So ate well, msinly organic, for £1.20 plus some electric for the porridge, roast veg and a few cups of tea.
Steak tonight, probably with mushrooms, tomatoes (we have tomatoes with everything at this time of year), homemade carrots and kale or chard. Not sure about what type of spuds yet. I fear there'll be masses of washing up.Smile
Toad in the hole. With veg and gravy.
