Briam with mackerel.
Day 1, Week 2 of rationing!
B. Sourdough toast & plum jam
L. Salad - lettuce, cucumber, rocket & grated cheese (10p)
D. The last piece of smoked haddock (45p), mash, mangetout & green beans.
Day 2, Week 2 Rations
B. Sourdough toast & plum jam
L. Salad - lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, grated cheese.(10p)
D. Shallow fried courgette slices with leftover mash, mangetout & green beans.
Jalapeño poppers. Followed by bacon & cheese on toast.
Ribeye done in air fryer which after 15 minutes was still rare and bloody. I ate it anyway but won't be doing ribeye in air fryer again.Had it with four egg and cheese omellette.
I was still peckish this eveveing so made fried 20% beef mince with a couple of eggs whisked into it.
Grilled Ribeye steak with a few boiled broad beans from allotment and the remains of yesterdays beef mince & egg nuked in microwave.
Spinach and mushroom vegan quiche with cabbage, carrots and Potatoes. Followed by plum and nectarine pudding and custard.
Chilli with tortillas.
Day 3, Wk 2
B. Porridge (1oz oats), cooked plums and yogurt
L. Chunky veg soup (sweet potato, potato, carrot, onion and courgette)
D. Green lentils mixed with mash and thyme, shaped into patties and shallow fried with the inevitable sliced courgettes.
