OUT went a 10 gang extension tower and a tortoise shaped fridge magnet, In return I was given a dozen mince pies and a bag of dates.
That's 2 things decluttered from my year's target of 366 items.
^^^ I was wondering why 366 not 365, then figured 2024 must be a leap year. Smile

P said in a  knowall voice 'of course its divisible by 4'  who'd a thought.
Had a trip to the £5 x 2 Pantry this morning. Too much food to list but there was a lot of different fruit & veg, cheese, cod and haddock, 2 pork joints, vegan ready meals, custard doughnuts and an enormous Woodland Yule cake (not a log) covered in gooey chocolate.
Also IN came 4 bags of odds and ends from a kitchen clearout. Half of it is equipment (pots, pans, racks, storage boxes) and the other half is food - the inevitable pasta and rice, meringues, cooking chocolate, flour, sunflower oil, herb tea and more. I've already lined up someone to take the equipment at the weekend - the food will stay. Wink
IN came a tub of Tzatziki, 2 packets of bacon, custard pastries, brandy butter and brandy cream. Also 5 books and 2 tins of dog food.
Out went most of the kitchen stuff I collected earlier this week, 2 bags of pasta, 2 bags of rice and 2 books.
IN came another OLIO clearout. Must have been at least 40-50 packets of sandwiches and wraps (all meat Sad) Also taramasalata, mashed potato, carrots, fruit scones and courgettes!.
I managed to OUT about half of the sandwiches on two of my neighbours and an innocent dog walker, heading down the road with his child on his back and a dog. I don't suppose he's been stopped in his tracks by an old biddy waving a big bag of sandwiches at him before! Anyway, he took 3 packets, 2 for him and his wife and one for the dog.
I took the meat (mostly chicken and bacon) from the remaining sandwiches and boxed it up for the dogs.
Also IN came some cat food, also for the dogs, they don't care.
There has been a local appeal for warm clothing for the homeless in the night shelter. I raided my wardrobe and delivered a bag of clothes, including a new winter coat and some trousers that I had hoped to fit into one day. Also hats, scarves and gloves. They were just clutter in my wardrobe. Hopefully they'll help someone now.
IN today came a kitchen cupboard clearout! I love these as you never know exactly what will be in the bag. I knew there was Granola, porridge, rice pudding, spaghetti and pasta sauce but I didn't know about the couscous, rice, coconut milk, tomato soup and satay sauce. I'm sure I can concoct a few meals from this lot.Big Grin
Also picked up some cat food sachets for the dogs, not for me!
Pantry Day for my week's supply of food. I was a bit late so a lot of stuff had already gone. However, I came home with a pork joint and some maple glazed pork chops, Vegan salmon fillets and vegan mince, a M&S Ham & cheese toastie, 2 packs of Red Leicester cheese, potatoes, onions, spring onions, baby corn, tomatoes, strawberries, nectarines, avocado, iceberg lettuce, tinned soup and taco beans, bread rolls, crisps and soft drinks, a random assortment of pick and mix chocolates and toffees. Handwash x 2 and the highlight - 3 bunches of daffodils. Big Grin
Also IN 2 books of Household hints and uses for Vinegar, Honey & Garlic.
Today I went to the Clothes and Books giveaway at a local church. I've only been there once before and it was a bit manic. Some people seemed to be grabbing just about anything on the clothing rails without even looking at the sizes and it put me off a bit. However, I had a pile of unwanted clothes and some books to dispose of so I thought I'd give it a go. It was very quiet today and the most noise was made by a lady (Ann) who was trying to load me up with clothes. She asked what size I wanted and starting rummaging through the racks to find anything that would fit! I came away with 3 pairs of M&S trousers (short leg Wink), a fleece jacket and hoody plus 3 books. The really good thing is that, if they don't fit, I can take them back next month, no questions asked!
Decluttered 2 x microwave turntable plates to someone who had broken hers, 4 tubs of drinking chocolate & Ovaltine, spaghetti and egg boxes.
Overall, I've got rid of more than I brought in..............just. Wink
