Today, OUT went a bag of knitting wool and needles and a copper coloured tortoise. Also the Nationalt Trust Guide 2021.
A binbag of clothes is being collected tomorrow. To be fair, most of the clothes were ones I picked up a few days ago but didn't want, but I did add a few garments of my own!
IN came a Royal Jelly toiletries set from the lady who had the wool and tortoise. She rescues homeless tortoises and has a breeding pair that produced 25 babies torties last year. Big Grin (Ignore me if I've already mentioned this).
I wish you'd told me you had knitting needles!!
Only about 3 pairs and they were chunky ones. I used some as plant supports. Smile

I've been looking for needles to wrap wire around to make silver jump rings.
I've no idea what a "jump ring" is - sounds like a hulahoop!!
Today I travelled far, further than I have for 2 years, to collect a book I've wanted for years. "The Forager's Calendar" by John Wright.
I've been too mean to buy it for £18 or even £10 on one of the cheaper outlets, so, when I saw it offered on a free site I just had to have it even if it meant a journey outside the City boundary. Covid has clipped my wings so much that this is the first time I've been able to engage 5th gear in the car for ?2 years. Such bliss, driving on an unrestricted dual carriageway, it was like going on holiday, where the unexpected lurks around every corner. Its only 10 miles to Ponty but its like another world! Big Grin
Very close to home today but 4 collections to make.Smile
A glass teapot with integral infuser (JJB - no loose tea leaves) and a small kitchen timer and clock - the shape of an hourglass.
A large metal fireguard to be repurposed in the garden
A Mouse mat!!
A bag of shampoos and conditioners to help me through 2022 without buying any shampoo.
IN came a Yogurt maker
OUT went 5 bags of books and a set of encyclopaedia.
IN came a very nice heavy winter coat - sadly too big for me but I know someone who can wear it!
Also a bag of miscellaneous toiletries - I only want the shampoos and handwash - the rest I'll be passing on.
OUT went a bag of shoes and boots into the Firefighter's Charity Clothing Bin

Tomorrow will be IN - a Compost Bin, a 13' extension lead with 2 sockets and some handwash.
OUT go the unwanted toiletries to the Compost Bin lady who collects stuff for the Women's Refuge.
Collected the Compost Bin (his names Bryn the Bin) and the other items.
Then, a short walk down the hill to collect a bag of cat food (yes, I know I don't have a cat but the dogs don't realise and they'll eat anything).
Whilst I was talking to the lady, on her doorstep, we heard a strange crunching noise from inside the house!! She looked puzzled for a moment then said - "Sounds like the dog's eaten my boiled egg that I was having for lunch - shell and everything!".
Good to know there are other naughty dogs around.
