I've collected the airfryer, Its a 4.3 ltr one - larger than I expected. Have to find something to cook in it now! Speaking of which, I've also collected a bag of food - all in date. Apparently, the donor's 2 children were sent home from school with the ingredients to make a lasagne - but it was too much like hardwork for the mother to do, with a baby as well. So I have lasagne sheets, UHT milk, tins of mixed veg, beans, chickpeas, lentils, flour and 2 huge containers of dried oregano and mixed herbs. I find making lasagne a lot of faff too. Big Grin
I went to the £5 x 2 Pantry today for a top up. Strawberries, raspberries, apricots, grapes, oranges, tangerines, avocadoes, oyster and chestnut mushrooms, lettuce, pak choi, sweetcorn, mangetout, spring onions, big onions, yogurt, meat pies, a vegan pie thing, bread, rolls, cakes including a Sicilian lemon cake (was £15), chocolate eclairs, crisps, coke, sparkling water. It beats yellow sticker shopping as there haven't been any bargains in Morries for months.
A big tub of macaroni cheese from the cafe.
I do like the days they’re not very busy and don’t sell out of everything.
Just been to the £5 x 2 pantry and its taken me ages to put the food away. Big Grin Two bags of Nando's chicken portions, meat pies, pasties and sausage rolls, plant based something that looks like belly pork, tarka dal, dozen eggs, bread, rolls, cakes and biscuits, crisps, avocados, kiwi fruit, oranges, bananas, pears, grapes, kefir, yogurt, lettuce, mushrooms, canned drinks and sparkling water, rice, chorizo snack things, fish pie sauce.
OUT went some big bags of Indian spices and gelatine - that I've been given but will never use so I gave them to the pantry.
Also out, from a box I found at the back of the wardrobe - an antistatic gun for LPs to stop the crackles, an RAC gadget that warns you of traffic jams up ahead - predates satnavs by decades and a cap gun with caps! The smell of those caps brought back so many childhood memories.

So the dogs will be living on chicken portions, meat pies, pasties and sausage rolls for a while? Kato could probably cope with that diet! Big Grin
At the moment the dogs are having regular doses of pork pies, pork tongue and sliced beef. I went to Morries late Sunday afternoon and all the huge pork pies were 25p and cooked meats were 20p. Fortuitously, there are 3 slices of meat in a pack so one slice each dog per meal - with biscuits of course!

Flaming dogs are better fed than me!!!!! Rolleyes Big Grin
They've never had a ribeye though!!
Went to church today but I was too late and most of the food had gone!. Came away with some seeded bread rolls, Thai sticky rice, stirfry veg, mangetout, Plum & Hoisin sauce and 3 tins of dog food. I contributed 2 boxes of lasagne pasta and 5 packets of Chilli crisps (dare you eat these?).
After church, I collected 2 bars of Olive soap, a bag of books and some bath towels for dog drying. I've been to this house before for books, the lady owner walks with a stick. The house has a small paved front garden and a lot of weeds in the cracks. It makes me twitchy when I see them so today I offered to do some weeding for her! It looked a lot better afterwards but I couldn't do anything about the brambles without gloves or secateurs. Next time I'll go prepared!
IN today came 2 bags of organic carrots, a fruit loaf, two cheese loaves, an ordinary loaf and some sesame buns. Then I collected a bag of tinned food - including chick peas, beans, lentils, peas and 6 tins of tomatoes - and a jar of chutney! I have enough tins of tomatoes to start a shop. Big Grin
