Well, that was pretty much a failure, back home from dog walking and donned the tracky bottoms again. Smile Still a wee bit too parky for bare legs! Rolleyes
I'm still wearing lined walking trousers I can't see me stopping for a while either.
Seed sowing. Repotted a rose cuttings that’s doing very well. Repotted carmellia that emptied its self during the resent storms. Planted the day lilies my friend brought me in a big tub and put the day lilies Scarlet sent me in with them as the put I’d put them in has started to fall apart.
Starting chitting some parsnip & salsify seeds.

Prepped two seed trays for sowing tomorrow.
Planted the broad bean seedlings - Super Aquadulce and Wizard. Should have been planted a while ago as the Aquadulce were flowering in their little modules!
Cut down brambles and pruned more raspberries, some of which have flower bud clusters.
Cleaned up some more cut bamboo into usable canes and dried up foliage.
Watered the greenhouses.
Enjoyed the warmth of the sun - so nice after all the rain.
Potted up some Pink Cascade begonias. I'm starting to get complaints about the number of new plants dotted around the house. Oh, I've barely started!

I also pruned a pyracantha to make an opening for a new bird feeder so I can observe it from inside the house but have it secluded enough for the birds. I've already spotted some blue tits.
I potted up an absolute tonne of kale that has germinated. Still loads more to do, but it was too cold to continue.

I will be planning what to sow tomorrow, after tea tonight.
Today was my third and final day of working on my privet hedges. I've been narrowing them by 2 to 3 feet all the way down both sides of the garden, reclaiming a decent amount of space and hopefully rejuvenating the rather old plants. Tomorrow I will finish raking up the debris, feed with some blood fish and bone, and start shredding the mountain of prunings.

Pictures to follow Smile
Took Ted to the Vet for his booster and, because I was up early, did a load of washing.
Came home and then we set to in the garden, raking up dead grass, turning my piles (Oooher Doctor) and scattering lots of Calendula seeds on any patch of bare soil.
Lovely to see the pear trees and quince with flower buds.
Finished digging over last years cabbage patch. Left one plant that might be broccoli. Then sowed some pea and bean seeds in marge tubs to check viability, some were a few years old. Sowed some sweet peas.

Need to sow some more caulis. the last lot I sowed only 3 germinated. All the tomatoes I sowed last week have germinated, as have the aubergines from about 3 weeks ago but only a solitary king o'north pepper sown at the same time. No other varieties at all. I'm quite glad I potted up some king O'North saved seeds I was just checking viability of. They are just getting their real leaves and looking good.
