I'm playing around with the greenhouse glass to get it in the right place. I think I've settled on the larger squares for the roof, and rectangles for the walls. I will need quite a few new pieces to complete it.
I went to get horse manure last night. I felt it was best to unload that tonight before I head into work tomorrow lol
We have something digging holes overnight in the garden. I'm thinking rabbit but nothing's been nibbled or eaten and I can't find its hiding place. I'm going to borrow, for the grand sum of £3 for a week, a night vision wildlife camera from a sharing enterprise in Salisbury just to see what it is. Never used this Library of Things - Share Salisbury people before, but it's a brilliant way to avoid waste.
I potted on a few things some for me some for my friend. Also split a couple of plants so my friend can have some. Hopefully they’ll start to establish before she gets here next month.

Also plant some more sacrificial plants on the bank at the plot.

We have a Library of Things too - they even deliver the item in an electric van. Haven't used it yet though.
I had to go to the Bank today, first time since the start of lockdown - to pay in some old £20 notes that my mother had stashed away! The cashier even asked my if I'd found them under the mattress (very close, but not quite).
Went to Morries, bought some more coir compost and then came home to attack the brambles and nettles around Arthur's feet Perhaps I'll introduce you to Arthur tomorrow. He's a very old friend. Wink
Planted out celery and lettuce.
Removed algae from the pond.
Cut back hardy geraniums and weeded the arch bed.
Removed brambles from the bank bed and searched in vain for the perennials I'd planted!
Cleaned and refilled all the water dishes around the place.
I've watered everything, because all it takes is a day of sunshine and everything wilts! I've also tended to the squashes, and a couple of them are really romping away! The others are struggling. And one tromba is very healthy, but not very big yet, whilst the other two are pathetic. I'll leave them to it, of course - there's only so much you can do for them.

I was going to measure the glass for the greenhouse, so I can figure out how many panes I need of each size. I couldn't find a measuring tape, so got distracted.

The reason for distraction is that I finally have some micro toms turning in colour! And I have absolutely thousands of flowers on the micro cherry plants - I'll take a picture for you tomorrow. And my Black krim tomato is finally turning in colour too! Keep coming with that sun!! Smile

Have you introduced Arthur to Excalibur and where is Guinevere and Launcelot?
Started laying out plot 3 today. The first greenhouse will be covered in debris netting, the second is being covered in wire mesh for strawberries and the one at the bottom will be covered in 25x25 netting for fruit bushes.

I will dedicate one of the long beds to asparagus and the others for anything.

Potted up various sweet peppers.
Planted out borage, calendula and climbing nasturtiums.
Armpitted and tied in tomatoes.
The soil is quite stoney on the new plot and lacks body so will need sorting.

Today I have started removing the obvious stones and ordered a load of soil improver, I might end up sieving the existing soil and use a cement mixer to incorporate it all together.
