Jen Don’t you just hate it when a simple-ish job turns into marathon.

Pulled up weeds from my GH border, armpitted toms, fed cucs.

Tidied up lettuce plants, and picked sweet peas.
Walked Kato, went to Boot Camp for 9.00am, went to Morries for bacon sarnie and coffee after ,then went back  to a Barre session!

Went to allotment and weeded and watered.

Went to Helen's grave with chrysanths and chucked away all the old flowers and filled and arranged two vases either side of her headstone

.Came home, picked up a load of timber for the woodburner from a neighbour on way, made and ate my dinner.

Time for Kato's second walk then empty the car of wood and go and collect another load, taking hammer with me to break wood up into bits I can fit into car! Big Grin
Weeded my onion bed, they are getting close to harvesting

Emptied some of Mr Greedy's stomach!! Its a bit fiddly because, as you drag out the compost at the bottom of the Hotbin, the newer stuff above wants to drop down. Managed to fill 4 and a half, 30l planters with it. They're sitting in GH3 under the table, to dry out a bit. Then they're already to be planted with something. Maybe some late spuds?
Heavy rain stopped play for most of the day.
I coughed. And then I coughed again. And again.

And then I gazed out of the window at my garden. Looked at all the weeds springing up. And the plants needing tying in. And the things ready to harvest.

And then I went and sat back down again so I could cough a bit more.

I'm thinking about having a walk up the garden before it tips it down (very ominous skies here) but I feel very pathetic! Still better than last time though, so hopefully I'll be back to work in a day or two and back out doing vigorous things in the garden by next weekend.
A toddle round the garden, ignoring the weeds and looking for the good things, will make you feel a bit better, Pros. Take care. x
Wot she said, Pros, weeds don't matter, the garden will be there when you feel better.
Sympathy there Pros, I’ve never felt so helpless.
All I’ve done is to water my GH Toms.

Are you poorly too Bren, if so here's a virtual hug.
Still fighting curtain rail but on the home stretch. I think it will run smoothly once the curtains are on it. P says the venetian blind is next. Oh joy!
