Wow, that's gorgeous Vinny! I bet you get some high winds there!

I've finished moving compost from the metal planters and the fiberglass container into the old pond. It seems to have been a perfect amount of compost! I wonder if maybe most of it came from the pond as they were digging it out originally? I found some paperwork from a business that the couple had, that we bought this house from. They'd previously owned a piece of land that they had a chicken business on. That doesn't maybe sound so odd, but the fact that I found the paperwork in plastic pockets at the bottom of the huge fibreglass container is a bit more weird!

Now I just need to get rid of that container, because it's far too big to be useful, and I need the space for the new greenhouse Smile

I also happened to come across potatoes in that planter, more than enough for our tea tonight! They'd clearly planted them this summer, but never harvested, because they'd moved out!
I potted up my old begonias as I noticed some growth starting. They looked a bit shriveled, but on closer inspection they seem ok if a bit small.

I also potted up the new ones I bought from B&Q, 9x trailing apricot coloured ones called Sunray.

Then I potted up the 6 x Bishop of Llandaff dahlias I also got from B&Q.

It might be a little bit early, but at least they're done now. Usually I get to May then suddenly remember about them stored away.
I've potted up some cuttings that I had in a glass of water, finally. I've also tried to rescue a little plant I got from my next door neighbour at the old house, in the prettiest little terracotta pot, but the poor thing was struggling in there, because the pot dries out too fast. It's probably too late to salvage the poor thing, but it's worth a try - it's now in a new, bigger pot with more water retention Smile

Oh and I sowed the chillies I was given as a greenhouse warming present Big Grin
Set up the seedling shelves in front of the big south facing window. From now until sometime in May we'll be sharing our living room with an ever increasing number of growing plants! Oh for a big greenhouse just for this time of the year.
Pricked out pepper seedlings.
Brought the over wintered chillies & pelargoniums into the living room, gave them a water.
Lovely photos Vinny, like up in the Wicklow mountains near the man made lake.
Spent yesterday laying more bark over the plots, spent a while trying to decide what will go where. It will change many times yet!
Wore my shorts for the first time this year whilst walking Kato. Cool A bit drafty around the Trossacks but my leg tan from last year is starting to fade so needs must! Big Grin

P says you're very brave Vinny,......or slightly barmy Smile
Always have a look at the BBC news site each morning. In among all the Russian invasion news was an article I found quite alarming

Two sides to an argument I suppose but feel sorry that the bees have to suffer. Sick

On a lighter note, I will try and percevere with wearing shorts for my morning dog walk and see how it goes. Huh I hve a fancy that I may need to return to trowsers though as apparently a Snowbomb is on it's way! Cry Shopping later with daughter.
