Evening all, I had a pleasant day weeding never got round to onion planting or lettuce planting as a friend called over and stayed for evening meal on the BBQ some nice wood smoked chill marinated salmon and Mediterranean infused king prawns. Served with boiled rice with chopped scallions and flat leaf parsley and a mixed salad. Very nice indeed

Morning the birds are singing, the suns out and the slugs haven't eaten my lettuce a perfect start to the day Smile
YAY! I can meet up with my girlie pals again - so that's next Tuesday afternoon written off. The three witches meeting up over their cauldron (of coffee). A beautiful day full of planting out promise. Morning all.
^^^looks and sounds very nice Can.

Sun is big and bright, so need to get the watering done today. Acquired a 10×8 greenhouse yesterday, just the frame and will turn it into a tunnel.

Another week passed and stil no rain, recieved an email yesterday from our water supply company, saying water levels are falling fast. Thankfully i have plenty of water butts over the plots.

Have a wonderful day all Smile
Afternoon all, wow it’s warm...20 degrees at 9.30am!!! Roads were a lot busier this morning, first morning of a slightly eased lockdown. Hope everyone sticks to the rules as we don’t want to go back to box 1 again!
Hope you all have a lovely day! Enjoy seeing your family and friends again and stay safe!!x
Goodartnoon!
So so hot today and my job of the day meant coming up close and personal to lots of brambles and nettles - so no bare bits on show!!
Tomorrow is our first Garden Waste collection since lockdown started and I wanted to fill the bin with something undesirable to celebrate. Mission accomplished - a stretch of fence is clear for the first time in years.
We in Wales have to wait until Monday to be able to meet up with another household outdoors, who live within a 5 mile radius. There's nobody I want to meet anyway so I'm in no rush! If we can't have a cwtch, there's no point!
Another lovely day but the watering is becoming a chore, 45 minutes this morning. Planted out my first lot of runners, firestorm and moonlight, already about half a metre. Now sitting in sun having a g&t, ?
Veggie us in England also have to wait till Monday then we can meet up in groups of 6 either a park or your own garden. Social distancing still applies and no overnight stays. Be good to meet and chat rather than popping things on the doorstep knocking then standing back.
Thought you were going to say "knocking then running away" Bren!!
Afternoon/evening all.

Started what was supposed to be a five minute job replacing a leaking  joint where the cast iron stench pipe met the plastic version. Three  hours later after having to get ladders out and loosen all brackets holding pipe to wall to allow me to get the neoprene joint in position, job was finally completed. Rolleyes
At home, I am sick of wrestling with a 50 metre anaconda of a hose pipe every time I watered the garden so threaded it along the fence line for half the garden length then I only need to wrap up the bit that's left. Cool

After cutting the lawn I took the two bags of grass cutting to the allotment and spread them in the two trenches I had dug along my bean poles. I already have cardboard and weeds plus other grass cuttings in the trenches so decided to back fill them with soil ready for bean planting. Tomorrow if no one else is using water at the plot I will flood the trenches ready for planting beans which are making an escape attempt from greenhouse staging. Confused

Take care everyone and no doubt I will be back tomorrow.
