Is that to strike 3 after 2? 3600 seconds?

I will go with 4....2 seconds between chimes

I agree Boss, 4 seconds, that was my thinking too.

Could be 3 seconds if each chime sounds for 1 second and there is 1 second between the chimes.

The "official" answer is 4 seconds.
"If the clapper striking the bell for the first peal and the second peal is 2 seconds, then it will be a further 2 seconds before it strikes for the third peal."
