Of course!! After a bit of time thinking  but jimny was obviously there first but I didn't  click with that clue.
So a new definition of pregnancy is a slow explosion now?
Sorry, I'd heard it before but didn't want to jump in too quickly with the right answer.
Mark, I've attended the birth of both of my children and remembering certain portions of labour could be considered explosive or even slow explosions I suppose, so extrapolating backwards I guess pregnancy could be considered an explosion followed by a 9 month buildup to a second much slower explosion.
Something different ! The world's  shortest IQ test/ Cool NO GOGGLING Tongue

Prof Frederick has 3,000 participants complete the test and only 17 percent managed to get full marks and score 3/3. Impressive.

So... what're we waiting for? Here are the questions:

1. A bat and a ball cost $1.10 in total. The bat costs $1 more than the ball. How much does the ball cost?

2. If it takes five machines five minutes to make five widgets, how long would it take 100 machines to make 100 widgets?

3. In a lake, there is a patch of lily pads. Every day, the patch doubles in size. If it takes 48 days for the patch to cover the entire lake, how long would it take for the patch to cover half of the lake?
$0.05, 5 minutes, 47 days.
I'm working on 2. But have the answer to no. 1 and 3 no goggle

And just read Martin's and realised the answer to 2.
You're all very quiet so I thought I'd dig out the Puzzle Block again. Big Grin easy one to start.

Put one word in each set of brackets that completes the first word and starts the second.

1, lips ( ) lish
2. palo ( ) taur
3. over ( ) star
Well I'm confident I got 1 and 2, my choice for 3 is a bit obscure so maybe there's a better one?
I was unsure about 3 too but it seems there are two ways of spelling it.
I've got 1&2 but only 3 in American spelling
