A group of people went on an outing. There were 2 brothers, 2 sisters, 3 fathers, 3 mothers, 3 sons, 3 daughters, 2 grandfathers, 2 grandmothers, 2 mothers in law, 2 fathers in law, 1 son in law, 1 daughter in law.
What is the smallest amount of people on the trip?
I get two numbers but both less than 10. Confusing myself
I am six of these things all on my own. So I think the answer to the puzzle is also six. Not completely sure I understand the question though.

As the group is symmetrical in male and female members, I would think the answer has to be an even number. You need to check your working out.
