We had a friend come help us today. So it was 2 mixing & 2 laying. It worked really well and we got loads done.
That is definitely a milestone in the build.
Fantastic!! You deserve to celebrate this evening!
You have a roof, walls and a floor now. What comes next? I'm not pushing you, honest, just curious.

Definitely celebrating with a couple of beers. We’ve not got all the walls yet
. Still got to put one pretty much through the middle of the house. To separate bedrooms, and separate bathroom & dining room( that could be some awkward dining experiences
). And utility & kitchen. That’s not a priority job. Next jobs is solar panels fitted on the roof and outside drainage & treatment plant.
I forgot the internal walls! Minor detail.
We’ve been busy sorting, organising, working out stuff, ordering.
Started the ball rolling on getting electric connected. Wow that’s a brain melting minefield!
Ordered our treatment plant. A bit of wheeling and dealing has gone on.
Big delivery of timber arrived today for our internal walls.

This + 3 sheets of 18mm OSB. Cost an eye watering amount.
And very existing the wood for my polytunnel.
Getting your head round that lot would require a stiff drink in the evening. Treatment plant? For sewage? Does it mean digging big holes for a privy

Yes and yes
. Treatment plant for sewage. And yes digging big holes. With the added bonus of having to put a concrete pad at the bottom of the hole for the treatment plant to sit on.
Yesterday wasn’t a good day in the building department !
First the electric box we’ve been waiting to arrive for 2 week. Arrived damaged.
Second. Bob happened
. Bob had yet another complete brain fart and put a screw though the underfloor heating pipe!
I’m steaming
. I’d said earlier in the day mark out the doors. But no . Mr I never ****ing listen to the other half, knows better. So now we’re wasting more time and money waiting for connectors to arrive. To fix his **** up
.
He is never being left to do anything else in that ****ing house alone again.
Can't like that^^^. Just glad I'm not in Bob's shoes today.
Chill out, chilli, accidents happen. No doubt Bob feels bad about it. Give him a kiss and make him a nice tea. Everyone makes mistakes. They can be painful. The important thing is to not make the same mistake twice.
