To start the new year we’ve put up some advertising for our architect. He did ask very nicely if we would. I thought today was a good day to put it up. Now it’s looking like a building plot. We build our house this year ! I’m so excited

Brilliant news - we had the same excited/sick feelings when we started ours in summer 2009.
Twelve years on and we're about to build an extension - and they say the great thing about self-building is you can get exactly what you want (budget permitting)

And the solar gain - being south facing with big windows at the front and small at the back makes a big difference to us in the winter.
