In Cork a Jag is an old word for a date with a girl.

I like that Can, but you could have missed out the word "old" there are some on here who home in on the word, especially when I'm involved

Veggie a skelf is the proper word for what some of you refer to as a "splinter", just reading that makes me realise just how our words are so much better and more descriptive

Your words are only descriptive if you know what they mean. If it was an Ouchy it would be more meaningful.

I see that they are going to give it to younger people now, which will be a problem for us as one of our grandsons has a phobia about needles he passes out at the thought of getting a jag
