Will still have the second dose , and the vaccine will at least let me have fighting chance against Covid. I hate to think how I would have been with Covid x

It does seem to find weak spots. My right hip bothers me if I drive any distance but most of the time I don't notice it. After I had a jab it really bothered me for about a week such that walking any distance was very uncomfortable. It is ok now though.

I know 2 other rheumatology patient friends who have had quite bad reactions and when I rang the clinic advice line they said a few of their patients were reacting.

It's better than Covid. They also said it meant my immune system was learning to react thanks to the vaccine  x
My husband who has something similar to RA also had a bad reaction, though he doesn't have a spleen either so that doesn't help - but presumably it's the immune response they want?
All the youngsters I "know" that are having it are also feeling pretty poorly. Seems the younger ones have quite a bad reaction.

My 70 odd year old neighbours were fine.

Just me left in my family to get it now.
After my AZ jab yesterday evening I feel a bit achy, and my arm is sore but that's it up to yet.
After reading the posts on here, I think there was a possibility that I experienced a reaction, the week following me getting the pfizer jab my joints were very sore, and I had to use a stick when out walking, but then I had been doing a bit of sawing of wood and shoveling and carrying bags of gravel as well as shifting furniture, now still doing some of the same but no problems, if I had been told there was a possibility of such problems before getting the jab, I would still have had it, don't understand why some folk don't want it
Out of interest VC....do you know what groups they are doing in your area? Anyone in their early 60's getting it?

My StepDad who is 64, still working hasn't had his yet. I'm a little bit worried foe him and he won't chase anything...

I've not had it yet - I will when it's my turn but I've never had a flu jab before. I was offered it this year. I think they were doing mass vaccinations of the flu jab as flu and covid combined can be pretty bad.

Anyway, after the flu jab I hurt in joints that I've never felt before - I felt really rough. Every bone in my body hurt. When I occasionally get a cold, very rare for me the only thing that happens is I loose my voice Big Grin OH, loves it!

I would chase Scarlet, they're starting with the 56-59s nationally this week though I do appreciate some areas are ahead a little and some behind.
I thought that was the case....thank you. I will look into it.

I'm in Cardiff and the Vale. I know someone of 64 who had his 2 weeks ago at a Mass Vaccination Centre. Have a look at his local NHS area website and see what their arrangements are. Some GP practices are asking for people to contact them. Do you know his GP?
