I got my first jab today, it was the AZ and despite all the fears and rumours surrounding the AZ jab with having had CV previously I didn’t suffer any adverse effects. Happy days.
Among the many work emails I trawled through yesterday was one from Nature (the science journal) about the upcoming paper I'm a co-author on, about the covid research data portal we launched last year. I didn't actually write any of the paper, but I wrote the code for the new website, so it counts Smile

My one boy had covid last November- he had a headache the following morning but couldn't be sure if it was due to alcohol or the jab Big Grin

Looks like I spoke to soon, woke up this morning at 6am shivering like I had a bad flu, took my temperature all ok there, got up at 7:30 feel crap hot and cold flushes, headache tired and pain in my arm where the injection was given. Going to take it very easy in work today
Yes it looks as though it’s the day after the vaccine the side effects kick in. Day after mine I got up feeling fine, then soon after ended up with a thumping headache and spent the day on the couch sleeping!
Funny how it only affects some people, no problem at all with mine but the wife felt rough for 24hrs.
I haven't had covid but I was absolutely fine too.

Its what older people do - grit their teeth and carry on. They've had a lifetime  of dealing with hardship and illness so a sore arm or a few aches isn't going to stop them.
Well done, your Mum.
