That's my excuse - I'm very young for my age Big Grin
They say that if you have had Covid previously then you are likely to get hit bad with side effects. They also say that the AZ jab is more likely to side effect on first jab but not on second and the reverse for the Pfizer jab.
Hope that’s true Can!! Fingers crossed!
Next door neighbours are very elderly, slightly scatty and extremely mobility restricted. They got a wheelchair taxi to take them for their second jab at £34 quite early in the morning (for them) causing some anxiety. They got to the site and were told it had been cancelled, with no apology and a 'we sent out an email' excuse. They are not online and wouldn't know a email if it bit them. They were not impressed. They've managed to rebook for next week so have calmed down. These days you're definitely disadvantaged without the internet, and I'm not sure they could cope if they did have online capability. I've spent the morning with them setting up an account with their doorstep milk delivery company, as the company has insisted all their customers pay online from April, not helpful for the vulnerable.
JJB, surely they should be eligible for the NHS to come to them, I know there is no way I would spend that amount of money for a taxi, but you are right, going toward Internet activity for everything
Had another bad side effects night last night with sweats and shivers, still felt terrible this morning so stayed in bed till 9:30, then got up. By 11:00 I was back to normal. Happy days are here again
We (hubby and I)had our second Pfizer jab yesterday, booked online through our surgery (choice of two venues both nearby with ample free parking and marshals). It was really well organised again and, by chance, our own doctor actually gave us the jabs. Our appointments were 20 minutes apart but they did us together. Husband did say "Are you sure they gave me mine? I didn't feel it". I actually saw it! Bit of an achey arm and woke up in the wee small hours sweating, but otherwise fine so far. Our doctor's now does lots of contact by mobile phone, texts with internet links etc. My husband, whose mobile phone is apparently just for show (he generally ignores it), has given my mobile number to the surgery and his deaf and ancient sister has now done the same so things can get complicated working out who the texts are meant for occasionally.

I totally agree and suggested they ask their district nurse, who visits twice weekly, to do the jabs but neighbour is fiercely independent over some things (in others it's "get Jen to do it") over jabs he wouldn't hear of it being done at home.  I've no idea why not.  Neighbour the other side had his at home.
Coincidentally, neighbours the other side were booked for their at home second jab for 31 March, but it was cancelled without any notification. It might be because of the govt postponing all March jabs because of supply problems. Their at home jabs have been rebooked for later on in April so all good really.
