Cold again at minus five, but sunny, but when we came home at five it was foggy - we could see the clouds sitting in the valley as we came down from the mountains.
7 degrees, sunny and calm this morning!! Long may it last.
The indoor sensor says it went down to -5 last night although I think it might have been nearer -6, as the sensor only records whole numbers not decimal points. It's still -1 at 10.30am, I'll not be walking on the grass till the frost melts.
No frost here today so a good day to be out and about.
Freezing fog this morning - thoroughly horrible especially for driving in. But now the sun is breaking through. Highs (I use the term loosely!) of 4 or 5 are forcast.
We've had a few fine, dry afternoons this week but not today, its been raining all afternoon and the ground has gone back to slippery mud. The only bright side is - its not as cold as it was last week.
Freezing fog again, not lifting until lunchtime.
MrPP and I think this is the longest period of sub zero nights we've had in the 12 years we've been here, for almost all of January. Ten years ago it was really cold (minus seventeen and I lost a lot of plants) but only for a couple of nights.
Overnight it's gone from -3 or -4 to +10 in a matter of 3 or 4 hours and stayed there. Dry but a bit breezy, not much hope of any sun though.
Flippin eck! Mother nature is having a whale of a time out there. Devastation abounds. Poor kato nearly got blown into the road a couple of times. Cry This seems WORSE than storm Arwen which caused a great deal of damage. Both myself and Kato were avoiding debri blowing about and at one point I nearly got blown off the edge of a cliff! Sick
Not a pleasant walk. I am not touching any of the devastaion in the garden until this wind abates! Rolleyes
That sounds scary Vinny   Confused    the winds just getting up here making the windsock dance around hopefully it will stay on its pole and not go visiting the neighbours.
