Does anyone use the above product?

I have issues with my carrots if I leave them in the ground over winter they are riddled with carrot fly. Which disproves they can’t scale a raised bed mine are 450mm high, and my carrots are flanked by onions. I thought this might help this year and I wondered if others used it?

This is an oldie which everyone probably knows but its worth adding in case anyone doesn't.  You don't have to do it like this, but I do.

When transplanting seedling  leeks for the table into their final positions use a dibber. Rake area flat and dibber holes at required distance. The deeper you dibber the more white your leeks will have. Leeks don't need to be too big for table use so spacing at 150mm is ample enough..
After dibbering, drop in the leek (some people trim the roots and tops, but I don't bother.)

Once seedling leeks are in dibbered hole, fill hole with water, and that's it. leave the hole open and it will allow the leek to expand as it grows.

Simples.

Kato needs to be permanetly on a lead or else he bolts whereas Amber wanders but is easily retrieved.

Thought you might like to see the progression of my walking onions over the past few weeks, because they are just such fun

   

   

   

   

They will do better in a nice big bed veg bed where they can spread in all directions, but are ticking over fairly well in a pot for now.
