Bats - Jimny14 - 04-06-2020 Although it wasn't that warm last night I was happy to see some of our local bats out and about. Don't know what type of bats they are but we often get quite a lot hunting over our garden. I'd ideally like to find out what they are and see if there is anything we can do to help with boxes etc. I'll try and post a video I took last night but might take me a while to sort it out. RE: Bats - Small chilli - 04-06-2020 Have a look at this https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/features/our-guide-to-the-uks-bats Really difficult to id as they are normally only seen in flight. I’m going to guess they’re pipistrelle. Only because that’s one of the most common species. RE: Bats - Jimny14 - 04-06-2020 Think this should work with any luck RE: Bats - Vinny - 04-06-2020 I love to sit and watch them on a warm evening. I may be wrong but I think I can hear them as well. I love watching them too, best in a comfy chair with a favourite drink. It's very relaxing RE: Bats - SarrissUK - 04-06-2020 Awesome! We get them here too, and since growing veg in my garden, I see them over my garden more than ever. It must attract insects that the bats are then feeding on. |
