Just spending the day in my garden, I'm either gardening or reading under the gazebo. Mostly reading though

A blackbird flew out of the soft fruit bed.
I said to her, in my best voice, "You norty bird, I know what you're eating!".
Then I noticed her perfect nest, about 2 foot above ground, one side against the chicken wire fence, probably resting on a fruit bush of some kind.
The icing on the cake - 4 beautiful blue eggs.
I'll stay away from the area until she's finished with it - she can eat as much fruit as she likes.

Seeing 2 pigeons side by side in the bird bath pretending they were ducks.
They got in the water got out.

Sticking to the feathered theme, a squadron of swifts belting through the garden at nose height and only about a metre and a half from said nose. Wow!

I was wondering where this thread had gone. Thought I was going mad on Saturday when I couldn’t find it   .

Bob arrived home Saturday after the weekly run to shop for supplies. With 5 goose & 8 duck eggs. So the second incubator is on now as well   .

My first sunflower, teddy bear I think

Seeing the smile on the face of my aged  neighbours at home, who's greenhouse is empty, when I gave them four varied tomato plants and a cucumber plant to help fill it up. Priceless.

The happy face of a friend of my husband's (in his 90s) when I took him a portion of my pasta bake I made last night.

Fellow plot holder offered me 12 cabbages to plant, I politely declined as I have no space, am still digging / talking about digging 80% of the plot.
