Im having a good day - but my back is in half after planting those dahlias yesterday!

Just received delivery from the local nursery up the road that specialises in climbers and clematis.....now here to put 10 of the buggers! Big Grin

I think I may have had one two many glasses of fizz when I placed this order! Though to be fair I've only bought 2 packets of seed and 3 bags of compost since Christmas. That isn't bad going.
A big fat slow worm in the bean bed and a just emerged swallowtail butterfly in the nigella.
Am I a bad person for being pleased to see the ants eating the caterpillars that wrecked my nasturtiums?

Not at all! Smile  Angel Angel Angel
A whole day in the garden today after being laid up with a horrible RA flare. At least it was short if sharp!
Another slow worm - or was it the same one? - and a happy toad, both under mulch in the potager.
And a glimpse of (probably) a booted eagle overhead. Must put better binos on the wish list!
I'm starting my first full week off work since last Autumn. So far, I have done absolutely nothing Smile
Pollinated my first tromboncino today  Big Grin
Woah that's good! SC I'm sure you and Veggie are in a private competition for 'who's got the first', my tromba is still very baby mainly because I neglected it in its pot for too long, I still haven't had a courgette either. I'm assuming yours are undercover.
I've just got one courgette ready to pick - I often start earlier but I wasn't going to grow them this year. I caved in.

I'm happy because this large border that I have t really bothered with for a few year is looking fab. I decide to stick all my surplus annuals in here until I can get too it. Last year I cut a hedge down that it's had growing in it for 20 years...some had regrown and then due to a blackbirds nest I couldn't touch it. So annuals it is.
OMG!! It's starting to look fabulous and it's buzzing!
I have in there - larkspur, cornflowers - black and pink ball, ammi, cosmos, clary sage, scabious, black poppies, pink lichnis, rudbeckia, snap dragons and tithonia
