Postman brought me seeds  Cool
Off to see son and DiL for a coffee in town and to see progress of their kitchen - from outside of course Sad Going to hear about the lad's new job, which was yesterday's happy surprise.
Two things (at least).
1. Seeing the first flower on the Bijou mangetout in the GH
2. Finding the label for the tree I couldn't identify - its a Greengage Reine Claude Ulena.Smile Covered in blossom this year for the first time so maybe I'll get to taste a fresh greengage for the first time ever. Smile
One of my lupins has germinated  Big Grin .
I inherited a small shed from my sons father in law it is small and will do nicely for my gardening tools and bits and bobs, free up space in the garage. The shed was delivered today

The race is on for the first bijou then.  You're the main contender,  I've not got a flower yet Sad
The crickets have started to sing.
Poor deluded creatures, hardly made 11 degrees with a biting nor'easter!
My radishes have germinated.

And I had an accident while pricking out one of my tomatoes last weekend - I bent one stem in half with the lid of my germination set-up (an upturned profiterole container) and it snapped. I decided to transplant it anyway, bury it deep and hope for the best. It looked completely dead the next three days but I hadn't got round to throwing it out. I went in yesterday and one of the two leaves has partly greened up! It still looks touch and go, but I feel I have grounds to be hopeful Smile
I had a message from my Mum yesterday that she was coming to the hospital (where I live) for a scan and did I want to have an outdoor meeting afterwards?

So, I got to spend an hour chatting to my parents outside on a nice sunny (but chilly) day Smile I last saw them when I chatted to them through the window a couple of days after Christmas (when I was isolating with COVID and they dropped some food off to keep me going), so it was lovely to see them again.

That’s great news Proserpina. It’s always great when you get to meet up with family and friends.
