pea & courgette soup: 200g peas, 1kg courgette, onion, garlic (optional) vegetable stock 1l . Roast courgette and onions till soft then add to peas and stock and cook till peas are soft. Then use blender and serve. garnish with something if wanted or cream or fromage frais.

Some friends dropped round for an apéro - a drink or two with nibbles before heading home for supper.
Four hours later we abandoned the idea of dinner and all had some home made banana ice-cream instead!

Steamed new potatoes and carrots from the tunnel, fried onions and mushrooms last of the shop bought onions, and a nice BBQ strip loin steak rack for us and the 2 grandsons, 3 medium rare and one medium, nice to see 8 & 14 year olds eating steak the way it should be nice and Pink. OH wanted hers done more so back on the barbie.
Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.
