Not exactly tly birthday tea but tasted good. Leftover curry for Paul, there wasn't enough for two so i had yellow sticker mushroom and ricotta tortellini in an experimental mushroom and aubergine sauce. Definitely a do again the sauce was scrummy. Plus home grown huge sweetcorn cobs.

Curry night!
A new cabbage one with red chilli, cumin and fresh tomatoes, slow roasted spiced small Turkish orange aubergines, dal & nan.
And salted caramel ice-cream, bit of an odd texture cos I slightly curdled the custard!

Mr PP liked it more than me - bit bland and, well, cabbagey for me!
Recipe was dry roast cumin seeds, add oil and then ground cumin, amchur, tumeric and fresh chopped tomatoes, stir & fry a bit, add fresh chillies (I used 2 red serrano but next time it'll get the fatalii treatment), stir a bit then add chopped green cabbage, salt and cook gently lidded until the cabbage is just soft - ten minutes. season with salt & sugar at the end. Could do with a big hit of coriander leaves, I reckon

Saturday night take away probably a prawn curry, and watch the rugby.
Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.
