For the 2nd day running, a heron has been lurking, eyeing up the ponds. Today he was perched on GH No 1. They're fascinating to watch, a bit prehistoric looking, but I'd rather he went somewhere else to fish.
Coming back home last evening I saw a Stork. It’s probably only passing through on its way down south.
Heron was back again today. Sadly, there was a dead long tailed tit in the seed tray beneath the fat ball feeder. No obvious cause. Very strange,
I threw some stale bread out for the birds, crows are watching me.

Then noticed this girl in the garden

Dozens of vultures overhead again - never seen so many as this last few months.
Lesser Spotted Woodpecker on the bird feeder and the Bullfinches are back eating the buds on the fruit trees - mainly cherry.
Still plenty of Longtailed, blue and great tits demolishing the fatballs.
A pair of Robins were interested in our lean-too this morning. One was eyeing up MrB's cycle helmet.
Cock pheasant was under the apple tree twice today, gathering up the seeds and nuts that the other birds were eating from the feeders.
Interesting watching the different feeders. The peanut one at the back today had a red bottomed woodpecker feeding with a magpie on the floor waiting for any dropped crumbs while the seed table at the front had mainly sparrows and tits with dunnocks and chaffinch hopping about on the floor.
Didn't see any birds today, but I did see tiles, bags, branches etc flying around Sad
