Tomatoes - some for the salad that went with the barbeque this afternoon, and some for cooking on the barbeque. The plum tomatoes I have in the greenhouse are so hard they're not pleasant to eat raw, but cooked on the barbeque for a while... yuummmmyy!
2 sweetcorn for dinner, cougettes, broadbeans for drying for hummus, several kilo of katy apples and several kilo of greengages and 150g raspberries (only about another 10kg wanted for breakfasts for the year).
Raspberries and blackberries early morning then Lettuce, basil, Toms radishes and chives at lunch time.
Dug a bucket of spuds, 2 Nicola plants gave me 3/4 full bucket, very pleased with them, good skins very few blemishes, no damage from insects or rodents, just a few green ones I missed when earthing up, or maybe when weeding soil was moved
Had some of them steamed tonight with salty butter . Yum ?
