First proper harvest of the summer (i.e. specifically for a meal):

[attachment=993]
  • Cos lettuce for Caesar salad (mostly Mordore and Claremont)
  • A couple of sage leaves for the herby seared tofu (to go on the salad instead of chicken)
  • 50g CFBs
I don't have an immediate need for the beans, but they were hanging very low and I didn't want the slugs to get them. Will probably steam them and add to the Caesar salad.
Courgettes, cucumbers, strawberries, runner beans & chillies

[attachment=996]
Courgettes, charlottes, Toms, parsley, basil, mixed lettuce, blackberries and apples.
Broccoli, chard, tomatoes, chillies, carrots. Tromboncino
Raspberries, blackberries and runner beans all for the freezer.
Lettuce, Toms, chives and spring onions for lunch.
Potatoes, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, chillies and lots of weeds
Courgettes for my neighbour plus a rogue marrow, haricot beans, yard long beans, tomatoes including the first Prince Borghese for drying.
Cucumber, tromboncino, herbs, kale, cabbage, carrots, romanesco, salad, chillies, spuds.
Sugar snaps and CFBs - thankfully I went out early and dodged the thunderstorms and accompanying downpour!
Black cherry toms, cuc, courgette, land cress, salad bowl and spicy mix lettuce, spring onions, nasturtium flowers and pods.
