The first hard frost which killed of busy lizzies and clobbered the few dahlias and begonias, so did a bit of digging up and composting. The big trees (horse chestnut, silver birch, copper beech) have all but shed all their leaves so once again raked up, mowed to mulch and bagged up another 7 bin bags worth. Planted Columbia Star blackberry.

I put some mung bean seeds in a jar to soak - that's the closest I came to gardening today!

Gardening? What's that? I set up the bluetooth mouse, without too much swearing. Now I'm contemplating staying in bed all day tomorrowSmile

Baked a sourdough loaf and some scones.
I spent most of the day on the sofa reading.

Re filled a few holes in the shed that I’d not done properly. Then me & Bob Readjusted the door because it wasn’t closing properly. Then we both re laid the slabs by the front gate. They were starting to sink into the mud. So we lifted them. Dug out a little more and dug a deep trench around the edge. Filled the trench with gravel from the beach. Put down a bed of sand and a weed membrane then the slabs were put back in place.

Hoping to see a cherrypicker in the drive within the hour. I may be gone for a while.

Started putting things in the shed. Kitchen unit and the first of many shelves. Planned the location of many of the other shelves. Just need to check measurements of other things coming in before I can finalise the shelf placement. A set of plastic drawers. Plastic drawers have had the contents sorted and rearranged. It’ll get done again tomorrow, I’ve decided I need one of those drawers for gardening things.
