I'm finding this so difficult.
V is for velcro, the sound it makes when the hooks are separated from the loops, a fine ripping sound. No memories about it really except my brother attempting to convince my mother he'd ripped his trousers when bending down, making the sound with a strip of velcro.

I agree, do you have a Welsh accent? Has SC developed a Scots accent? I'm very Wiltshire and probably sound like a real yokel. Oooo aah, gaffer.
Do I get my worms mixed up? What worms (words perhaps?) Anyone up for a video call? My accent depends on the mood I'm in and who I'm speaking to. Its not Welsh, more Caaardiff.
A friend used to say that she got her worms (words) mixed up all the time, so the saying stuck!
I wouldn't have a clue about a video call - sounds far too new-fangled for me.

I'm sure you could sort it out if you really wanted to. I use FB messenger to contact my friend in Holland, it's amazing to be able to see her over such a distance. It reminds me of that cartoon years ago The Jetsons the lady would have wigs and disguises that she'd put on if she had a video call first thing in the morning before she got presentable.

I apparently have a weird accent. A bit of Stoke, a bit of north Wales, a bit of Somerset . I don’t think there’s a Scottish accent yet. I hate video calls. Phone calls are bad enough. My friend video calls on Christmas Day and makes me say hello to the whole family. And I hate it.

Nice try, JJB. We'll have to remain women of mystery. If I did video chat, I'd automatically use a silly accent and pull faces. Its just my nature!

Perhaps I've had a lucky escape I don't need to pull funny faces, the original is scary enough. If any of you change your mind I'm up for it......... probably.

W is for wind chimes. I do like the sound of a wind chime. All the different tones you get from the different types. They don’t last very long up here, unless in quite a sheltered spot. No real memories attached to them . I just like them

Me too. My pal disowns me when we go into Homesense where they have lots. Bigg'uns, littl'uns, and all stages inbetween. Of course I'm the one that has to set all of them going. They're lovely. Sandra walks away rapidly.

W has got to be the sound of water. A babbling brook, the sound of surf crashing or the gentle susurration of a calm sea creeping up to the sand. The sound of running water from the pond waterfall. A toddler playing in the bath making more mess than washing (or is that P?). A running tap that on the one hand makes me so thankful we've access to clean running water, unlike other parts of the world where people must walk miles to get it, but on the other can remind me I need a wee.......quite urgently.
