Picked the first Sungold and Orangeto tomatoes. Orangeto is smaller than Sungold and I think I should have left them both a little longer. Tasted very similar, not overly sweet, hence my thought they were a bit early, with a pleasant tangy aftertaste. No more ripening just yet.

Finally, picked my first tomatoes - 4 to be exact. Minibel, Red Robin, Veranda Red and Three Cheeses High - one of each.

Picked my first courgettes, Rugosa Friulana, a pale yellow warty one. Chopped them up and fried them in an omelette. Delicious!

Worcesterberries. I'm only telling you this as I'm feeling left out in the courgette department. and I doubt that anyone else grows Worcesterberries. If you're tempted - don't be. They're as spiny as gooseberries with smaller fruit. One day, I'm going to dig them out and burn them - leaving only the ones in the hedge as they're a good deterrent to just about everything.
