This is my anemone bed - lots rotted in the frost. Those that survived, some of the corm rotted and the plants themselves are a bit smaller? Though they are starting to flower

My second bed of ranunculas - the earlier planted ones are nearly finished flowering.

This is the achillea bed. The vabascum on the end have started to flower. Lovely as a cut flower and cery easy to grow.

Canterbury bells - they look like they are starting to put out some flowering stems.

A type of amaranth - with orange/brown flower spikes. I think it will go with my dark red and pink dahlias.

Thanks - I'd just goggled them. Look attractive - unusual colour.

I'm going to try verbascum next year, I'm all for any easy flowers.

I put some seeds in the seed swap last Autumn... sprinkle them in a seed tray now. They may still flower late summer, if not they will have bulked up for  Spring.

If you get just a couple going you will never be without - they will gently self seed. I love mine.

Flowers are starting to pick up now, and its much easier to cut enough for bunches without walking all over the garden to find them.

Week ending 12th May / a few weeks behind last year

Things available to pick -ranunculas, euphorbia, choisya, aquilegia, vabascum. Eleagnus. A few seeet rocket.

Foxgloves, orlaya, canterbury bells are starting to bud up.
Some stems are poping up on the eryngium and SCs Lupins.
I have a few distortion issues on a couple of plants Sad wondering whether I have some weed killer contamination- will post tomorrow. Manure i collected last year.
Temps are averaging about 8 at night - I may start to plant out the dahlias
