2022 - Tonight's recipe

Almost forgot I made a batch custard cream biscuits today. Never made them before. They’re very nice and easy to make. 100% nicer than brought ones. I won’t eat them.

SC, going to have a go at these when I have time but can I ask did you put the mixture straight on to baking tray as per recipe or did you use grease proof paper or would that stop them from crisping up on the bottom?

I did one tray with & one without grease proof paper ( I only have one proper none stick tray  ) . Both lots came out perfectly. Highly recommend them. Very easy to make. Store well in an airtight container.

Yellow sticker salmon fillet with a bolting onion, mangetout and chard stir-fry on two-colour quinoa (Hodmedods). That stuff is really growing on me.

Chilli & rice

Pollock & coconut curry, bean & ginger curry, dry fried spice encrusted potatoes & cauliflower.

Take away pizza night   

Courgette, red pepper and pesto.

Thai takeaway tonight, because I've been working more hours than I care to remember, including a 16 hour shift yesterday at a polling station. The takeaway was just what I needed

Takeout last night for us as well, it was going to be fish, chips and peas but instead we had veggie chow mein from the Chinese.

This evening our usual tagliatelle and bol.

Last night the same as Bren.
Tonight I finished off the bologna’s with homemade pasta. Bob finished off what ever else was in the fridge.

Roast beef with all the trimmings tonight, and it apparently took three hours to clean up after (and not to mention the pots from four or five previous days lol)
