Yellow stickered trout fillets from Morrisons tonight, so had them quickly pan fried in two tiger bread buns with lots of lettuce from the garden, tomato, cucumber and pickled beetroot. Delish for a quick tea.

We've not had Moussaka for ages Danny we'll have to have it again soon.
Tonight we're having Tagliatelle, bol, garlic bread and a glass of red.

CTM, how do you get on with an air fryer? I've not heard good reports of them, but often thought about getting one. Would be interested in your views and which manufacturer.

My neighbour looked in horror at my 36 aubergine plants and said I suppose you can always make mousakka!

JJB I find them very useful, we have the Tower brand, my son and daughter in law swear by them, he puts a load of stuff in at the same time, whereas I will cook different things at different times. For example I will cook frozen chips in it then put them Int a dish in the oven to stay warm while I cook some onion rings. They cook both up great. Last nights prawns in filo was a first and I found they were looking a bit endemic so a quick spray with the fry light spray oil and when they were cooked they had a nice brown colour on the filo. I would recommend having one just for convenience a bit like a microwave, not for cooking in all the time but on occasions can be very handy. My DIL says they are great for cooking sausages or burgers but I think you would end up with a greasy mess in the bottom to be cleaned and I prefer mine grilled or bbq. I have also done the breaded frozen scampi and frozen mushrooms with great success.
BTW in case your wondering I do all the cooking in our house my wife hates cooking so puts very little effort into it when she does, but the she does all the ironing and cleaning.....
