Damp and cool today butthat wont stop a visit to the plots....plenty of weeding to do as always
Have a fabulous Friday You are a glutton for punishment GL. They say the best weedkiller is the gardeners shadow but after a short time the mud build up on my shoes would have me walking like Frankenstein!
Enjoy!
Morning all.
Its rained all night and its due to rain all day. I told the big guy in the sky that my IBC is full now so the rain can stop, but he/she takes no notice.
Just been out with the dog and added another pair of soaken wet shoes to the hearth of the woodburner to dry out.
Plans for today?......I haven't got any yet. Maybe try and finish off some of the half finished jobs indoors and later on try and dig a few worms for a fishing trip tomorrow....if it stops raining.

Just read your post Jay, brilliant!! Onwards and upwards.
Despite the fact I have an allotment now in need of work and a front and back garden crying out for some tlc, I spent yesterday in my son's garden helping deal with his waist high grass and weed situation that Covid19 helped to cause. This morning was spent helping daughter with some official paperwork stuff. I have to keep singing 'I love my kids, I do, I do' so I dont get too frustarted at being held back on my own stuff. Not really complaining, just a mild whinge.
Anyway, hope you all have the kind of day you'd like to have. x

A big thank you GG!
Afternoon all, it’s actually not a bad day here. A bit of hazy sun and it feels quite warm. Will take advantage by sitting in the garden as I think it’s to rain tomorrow!
Enjoy your day everyone...whatever the weather. x

Happy Friday!
Its sunshiny here but rain forecast later. Suits me fine! I've filled all the watering cans to make more room in the butts, picked a tub of raspberries whilst they're dry and had a mooch around. the garden........thinking about what to do next............coffee, maybe?
Now eating some honey which must be at least 18 years old as that's when we stopped keeping bees. Still tastes as good as the day it was collected. Food regulations dictated that honey couldn't be sold unless it was labelled with a "use by date" of 12 months from bottling. Daft!!
See ya later.

See ya later. Watched a program on telly where they opened a tin of sardines from WW2 and had them tested. They were perfectly safe to eat with no pathogens present. Amazing!

Afternoon all. We have actually had some rain! . I'm soaking wet having filled most of the butts by pumping from the ones filling up the fastest, so satisfying, not a drop wasted. Rain's stopped now but the land is saying thank you.

Evening all
Mostly a lovely day, had a weird 10 minutes this afternoon, while I was watering with the hosepipe, when it was raining although the sun was shining - just carried on with hosepipe
On the allotment the snugs had killed 3 more of my squashes they seem to be ignoring the new-style organic pellets. Good job I sowed some more seeds in case I needed replacements!

Evening All!
Sunny morning doing bits'n'pieces in the garden, then a trip to my Mum's then back home to some spittly rain. Hopefully, it will water in all the C flower seeds I scattered this morning wherever there was a gap.
Now sitting here, nursing a glass of red and pondering what to do tomorrow.
Cheers!!
