Salmon and various veg after having only a banana for lunch. Himself thinks he needs to go on a diet! He's 6'3" and is only half a stone heavier than me...........oops does that say something about me perhaps?

Today's lunch: homemade soup and bread Big Grin

Soup was celeriac and parsnip (from the weekly veg box, not the garden, alas), with a dollop of leftover pesto to give it a bit of oomph; bread was made with Dove's Farm wholemeal khorasan (kamut) flour in the bread machine. The latter was a bit lopsided and crunchy, but tasted good!

Not sure if the dough needed more water (and therefore didn't mix evenly), or if it was just too cold in our kitchen and the yeast didn't rise enough - our boiler is bust and the engineer won't be here until Friday, so we have no central heating right now. My breath was misting very impressively last night when I went down to the window end of the kitchen, so I dread to think what the temperature is in there!
How much veg and wildlife can I pack into a 6m x 8m garden in suburban Cambridge? Let’s find out!  Smile
