^^^ who does the despatching, SC, you or Bob? I applaud the principle of GYO and self sufficiency also knowing where your food comes from. but not sure I could do it. I'd give them names, and that would be it

Feeding & caring for them every day you still know the differences between them and know who’s who. I do despatch things that are sick or injured & I’ll happily despatch any pigeons I catch in the chicken house stealing their food. They also get eaten. I don’t believe in taking a life for no reason. Same goes for when we’re fishing ( rod & reel or pots ) when we’ve got what we need the rest get put back.
