I do like a nice roast pigeon breast Smile don’t know about crow though, wouldn’t fancy it.
We have a lot of birds in the garden at the moment also, sparrows, starlings, Blue tits, wren, robin, gold finches and the occasional bull finch, magpies jackdaws and crows, pigeons, visiting hens, geese and ducks from my neighbors farm.
Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.

This! Everyday is a Schitt day chez nous  Big Grin

Finally got around to The Wire, too. Just finished S1

But I cannot find The Thick of It  anywhere - we missed it first time around.

We’ve been watching episodes of The Royle Family.
Never liked it when it was first on, but now that our life resembles theirs ......
Sitting on the sofa, watching tv, “have you had your tea?”, long pauses, “what did you have?”, bickering, going nowhere - well now it just seems like real life.
(Without the bodily emissions though!)

Hi PP

Can you get iPlayer there(Do you have a VPN?), if so The Thick of It is on there?

No we can't get iPlayer (but then we don't have a licence so why should we?!) and most VPNs don't work for more than a few days and it has been really tightened down in the last few months. It'll turn up eventually!

Question
Just finished watching all 10 series of Stargate SG1.Prior to that it was all of Dr Who.

Need to find another series to watch. I've watched a few episodes from The Mandolorian on Disney + but I think I will boot that into touch soon. I'm not a Trecky, but did watch Picard which was ok.

Any recommendations? (Note to mods) Apologies if there are any similar threads, and if there are feel free to move this to them.

I'm usually doing something at the same time - but I did enjoy The Queens Gambit.
My husband and boys have always played chess -it's made them get the board out again rather than  playing on a computer. It's been a breath of fresh air.
Chess.com is free if you don't want all the bells and whistlers. I have been playing games against players from all over the world. I am on there every day for the last couple of years now. I keep four games running at all times and its the first site I go to each day. I have mine set to allow players up to 24 hours to make a move but they usually make half a dozen moves in this time so I can keep checking back throughout the day.
