Positioned, levelled(ish), and layered the last of the planned pallets collars at the plot. Layered with tree clippings, cardboard, grass, leafs, and whatever else apart from manure as it's planned for parsnips?
I now have the 16 pallet collars I'd planned for this year in place acting as small RB's.
My high level plan for this year is as follows....Please note this is what I'm calling my first "proper" year with a plot so any observations, advice, glaring errors please feel free to point out
RB1/2 - Strawberries
RB3/4 - Potatoes followed by Kohlrabi & Paq Choi
RB5/6 - Onions followed by ??
RB7/8 - Broad beans followed by Chard & Spinach
RB9 - DFB's
RB10 - Garlic plus my mixture of walky leeks/onions
RB11 - Comfrey
RB12 - Beets
RB13 - Parsnips
RB14 - Annual Leeks
RB15 - Wild Garlic
RB16 - Carrots?
In addition I have what I've called 3 large perennial beds...
LB1 - Asparagus (1 year old plants grown from seed)
LB2 - Currently has leeks, I then plan to have Rhubarb (4 plants currently in pots) and Babington Leeks?
LB3 - 4 x Taunton Deane and 2 x Nine Star Broccoli
Most of the salad crops will be grown in the back yard at home.
Climbing beans will be grown up and around the greenhouse frame, trench was dug and filled about a month ago.
Cucurbits also have a dedicated area to roam.
I intend to plant a row of JA's and Raspberries straight across the plot.
The rest of my fruit is currently in pots in the yard (3 blueberries, 1 blackthorn, 1 gooseberry, 1 tayberry)
Lastly, I need a larger area for brassicas, I have a plastic greenhouse frame and 8 more pallet collars to use, maybe some cage type construction? (Again suggestions most welcome)
