Oven cooked Chicken wings to munch on and Sunday dinner pie made with leftovers and some stewing steak. Because I had some pastry left and some fresh fruit I made a plum and pear pie with a puff pastry crust. Smile

Left-overs soup today, a mix of beetroot curry, mushroom pillau, with added red lentils, onions, garlic and cabbage. MrPP doesn't like thin soups so this one should be fine Smile With bread.

I fancied pancakes - no idea why as I hate making them and they rarely turn out right!
Goggled a recipe and made the mixture.
Dug out the cast iron crepes pan brought back in my hand luggage from France donkey's years ago and the Le Creuset omlette pan which was sitting on top of it.
Cleaned off the dust and cobwebs, which either shows how long they've been in the back of the cupboard or how slovenly I am.
Found the long palette knife as required by the recipe.
Buttered the crepe pan, poured in some mix and watched it stick to the pan in a thin immoveable layer.
Buttered the omelette pan, poured in some mix and deja vu, another pan coated in pancake. So much for non-stick.

As a last resort, tried the cast iron frying pan that I usually stirfry veg in. Its one of a set of 3 from a pre-decimalisation £ store.
You guessed - the pancakes were perfect. Slight hint of onion on the first one but didn't stick at all.

Pancakes and lemon curd for tea.............eventually. Wink
