Clearing out the patio strawberry 'bed', I found two ripe strawberries. I ate them and didn't share. They were lovely.

Ooh you big meanie JJB. I bet you don’t share your last roll either.
Realising today was Friday, and apart from a morning in work meeting a client tomorrow which shouldn’t be too taxing I have the weekend off.
A pocket knife is not a weapon in the right hands it’s an essential garden tool.

My son finished building our patio pergola and raised bed and he made me a mobile BBQ table.
We had an open slab patio up against a fence and he transformed it to an outdoor room.

Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.

First aubergines. The plants were ravaged by aphids that have belatedly been finished off by a predator.

Spotting a grass snake while we were out, then finding a huge courgette that had been hiding under some leaves.

I am all done and dusted with my house in Grimsby and no longer need to travel back and forth every time I have a weekend off work. It's so nice to have a weekend to try and unpack and organise my new accommodation properly, rather than hopping on and off trains and trying to scrub scuff marks that predate my tenancy off floors. I left the place about a hundred times cleaner than it was when I moved in (not difficult, there was poo in the toilets when I arrived!), so they had better give me every single penny of my deposit back.
