Not normally my 'fishy' day but I bought some YS smoked cod/haddock so I need to use it up.
For the first time ever, I also bought some fresh sardines. My plan is to butterfly fillet them and try them grilled as a starter!
Edit:-Well that wasa bit of an anticlimax with the sardines. I thinkI actually prefer them from a tin!!!! I have had feshly caught mackeral fillets grilled before and they were much better than tinned versions..........but not so, sardines!
Looking forward to the smoked haddock/cod later though!

Undecided if it’s going to be curry or stir fry. Either way it’ll be venison and mushrooms.

Yesterday (forgot to press the button)
B. Porridge as usual with redcurrants, raspberries and honey.
L. Sandwiches of broadbean hummus with thinly sliced cheese.
D. Vegetable, bean & Lentil curry (probably made enough for 12 portions). I cooked 1kg of dried beans and put 1/5th in the dinner. Freezing the rest, about 2kg, to experiment with (homemade baked beans may be).
