Not much done here today - my one thing was to collect an aerosol of expanding foam - I think its for cake topping.
I also tried to find my breadmaker - without success. How can I mislay something that bulky? The only place I haven't looked is the garage. Its a bit of a dumping ground! Maybe I'll find it tomorrow? I actually found summat that would suit you, they were selling Victorian(not that I am saying you are from the Victorian era, I'll leave the insults to Spec) toys in Home Bargains. I bought some of the soft juggling balls for on of the grandkids but they had chucks, cards, dominoes and other paraphamalia that your modern child wouldn't know what to do with. One of my favoutite games at school was chuck ha'penny and thats all it cost you. Is that the same a shove ha'penny? We have a big slate board that my father in law used to play...never played it! Nah, basically you had you ha'penny or auld penny and bounced it off a wall and tried to get it as close as you could to the wall. Pitch & Toss!

Yes but could I get up off the floor when I've finish playing? I didn't know they still did them. I'll definitely have a look just for a nostalgic fix.

Morning all
Talking of auld games I remember playing summat with rounded pebbles. Five I think that were caught on the back of outspread fingers? Can't remember what the rules were though? Anyway, enough of this frivolity lets get down to serious busines, Rockfit tonight!!!!
As far as today goes, dog walking first then will I get anything done with campervan?.........I dunno, I keep saying I will, but summat elase always crops up..Other things i need to do are strip the leek seedhead I have standing in water and plant up the leeklets. Also need to get the wheelbarrow out and bring some logs down from my distant storage area to my storage area by the French doors.

Is that the one where you throw a stone in the air and pick one up then throw two in air and pick one up until you have all 5? Just been reliably informed that you throw one stone and pick up one, throw one stone pick up two and so on.
Morning all, damp this morning. Really need to do some domestics but just can’t be bothered. Looks as though it will be another day of pottering around.
Have a great day everyone.

Morning All too
I feel like a new man today too - any volunteers (except Spec).
Good news to hear so many of you on the road to recovery now - come on, Jay. Your turn to catch them up!
Sunshiny but cold here - I really must go out and do something useful in the garden. Maybe a bit of raking will warm me up?

Really cold here today, and it was frosty when I walked down to see the chickens this morning. Definite signs of proper frost on the ground.
We had some disturbing news last night. It appears the local authority is putting housing development in the local plan on the field directly behind our house. We bought this house four months ago specifically for that view, and for the privacy... searches came up with nothing. I'm gutted and will fight it all the way, especially because there's other fields around here that would be better suited (this field is really quite boggy, and difficult access along a path with Saxon heritage), and wouldn't ruin anyone's view or privacy.
Other than that, I have a cat at the vets to have his bits removed. It was as if he knew - he was sulking in a big way and wouldn't talk to me on the way there. Another cat has got a bit of an eye infection, so taking him for a consultation this afternoon, whilst we're picking up sulky Kevin.
I'm pleased to think it's the weekend coming up, it's been a long one.
