Last night I made for the first time Gozleme, Turkish flatbread/pancake kind of things cooked on the griddle and then filled with faiselle (a wetter cottage cheese) caramelised onions, lettuce, pickled chillies & olives. They were nice and flaky yet soft enough to roll. A winner!
I like the sounds of gozleme I've found a recipe that uses sourdough so that's one to bookmark.
This evening we're having jacket potatoes, homemade meat balls, chilli beans and cheese.
Courgette rashers on a cheese topped bread roll.
Surprisingly successful!.
Slice the courgettes lengthwise (each one make 3/4 "rashers"). Coat with seasoned flour and shallow fry until crispy brown.
Pile onto a buttered bread roll.
I haven't eaten bacon for 30 years so it convinced me it was a bacon buttie.
