I did a Lebanese roasted pork loin last night with roast potatoes steamed peas and carrots, tonight was last nights pork reheated with home grown cabbage and steamed potatoes.
Coffee keeps me busy until it’s acceptable to drink whiskey.

Basically its hot liquidised  lettuce and onion making green soup.  If the lettuce are too blown they can be a bit bitter but tasting leaves as you strip towards the flower tip prevents putting too many bitter ones in and don't use the stalk. You can add seasoning of your choice - dill, thyme or mild curry spices to liven it up, go quite well.  Nothing fancy for the basic soup, fry off onions and bacon if you're not vege add your choice of seasonings,  add stock and add lettuce leaves bring to boil and whizz with a hand blender.  I sometimes add a dash of dry wine or lemon juice and serve with a dollop of creme fraish
